Our Story

How Illinois Roofing Co. Came to Be

Illinois Roofing Co. was founded in 2009 by Mike Harrington with a simple idea: Illinois homeowners deserved a roofing contractor who was honest about what needed to be done, showed up when they said they would, and treated every home like it was their own.

What started as a small crew serving Naperville and the surrounding area has grown into a statewide operation serving 23 Illinois cities — from Chicago and the northern suburbs down to Springfield, Peoria, and Rockford. Through that growth, the core values have never changed: transparency, craftsmanship, and accountability on every single job.

Our Growth Timeline

2009

Founded in Naperville, IL

Started with a two-person crew serving residential customers in the local area.

2013

Expanded into the Chicago suburbs

Added crews and began serving Naperville, Aurora, Schaumburg, and surrounding communities.

2016

Launched commercial roofing division

Began serving commercial property owners, HOAs, and property management companies across northeastern Illinois.

2020

Expanded statewide

Extended service area to cover Rockford, Peoria, Springfield, Bloomington, and all of central and northern Illinois.

Today

Mike Harrington founded Illinois Roofing Co. in 2020 after 12 years in the Illinois roofing industry. He oversees every project and remains hands-on with customers throughout Illinois.

Dave joined Illinois Roofing Co. in 2014 after seven years running crews for a major Chicago-area roofing contractor. He manages all active projects across Illinois, ensuring every job is on schedule, on budget, and delivered to our quality standards.
